Granny Lou’s Cookie Co. is owned and operated by the Wines family, Sterling, Lori, Amy & Jenna. Our name is a tribute to Sterling’s grandma, Lourinda, who was an example of all things good. She was still baking at 104 years of age.
The inspiration behind establishing our business was to create pretty cookies that taste great. Our cookies are recognized for their super-soft texture and fresh flavor. We use real and natural ingredients to assure freshness and great taste. Our Zesty Lemon Cookies get their flavor from our homemade lemon powder, made from the zest of fresh lemons. Real butter and cream adds natural indulgence to our bakery products.
Our original cookie is a Sweet-Almond Vanilla Sugar Cookie. We also offer the Zesty Lemon Sugar Cookie, Pumpkin Spice Sugar Cookie, Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip-M&M and Double Chocolate-Chocolate Chip. We have expanded our concession trailer menu to include homemade soups and freshly-baked rolls. We enjoy making great food that makes people happy.
Nuts Under A Buck is a food trailer from Elko, Nevada, that offers delicious fresh mini-donuts with a punny twist, plus bagels with cream cheese, beverages, and swag.
Song Dog Silver comes to you from Reno, Nevada. Inspired by the American Coyote – a tragically misunderstood creature who thrives in one of the most misunderstood states in America – Song Dog Silver means we can all carry a physical piece of Nevada with us as we ramble down every dirt road to the deepest darkest corners of Nevada wild. All turquoise is mined in Nevada and made by Nevadans, backed with sterling silver, and available in hat pins, bolo ties, money clips, pendants, and rings. For more information about Sydney, Tales from the High Desert, and Song Dog Silver, visit our website.
Mikaela McRaney is a Nevada-based artist whose style brings together dry humor and wet paint. Her work is most often inspired by the beauty of nature, the concept of roller disco, a propensity for the morbid, and her childhood idols – Lisa Frank, Barbie, and Polly Pocket. If that sounds like a bouquet of conflicting concepts to you, you can take it up with her at the fest.
Korean Balance is an Elko-based food truck that offers authentic Korean barbecue and bomb kimchi. They thrive to be the best in the game. Come chow down at their chow wagon!
Ely’s locally owned and operated Tropical Sno has been providing White Pine County with America’s favorite shaved ice since 2017. We can’t take you there, but we can give you a taste.”
Kiln glass is a medium that lends itself perfectly to breathing new life into the history found here and respecting those who came before me in the Big Sky Country. It requires time, labor, and patience; as it is a process that cannot be rushed. This fact allows me to connect with the feeling I want to convey while I work, never rushing through. Then the wait before a piece is cool enough to pull from the kiln, all these steps done with the intention to tell a story. The usable pieces I create are utilitarian, and not as delicate as one may think. That in itself is important. After all, I believe art is meant to be used, to be enjoyed. My work is an unabashed love letter to the West and all its lonesome places. It is my way of keeping it alive in the hearts of as many people as possible.
